Rise 'n Shine VOLUNTEERS

When: Friday June 9- Saturday June 10 2023

Where: Shakori Hills Arts Center in Pittsboro NC (1439 Henderson Tanyard Rd, Pittsboro, NC 27312)


Volunteer Roles Needed

Registration/Check-In

Date/Time: 

• Friday June 9 from 4 pm - 8 pm
• Saturday June 10 from 6:30 am - 10 am
• You may volunteer for more than one shift for additional fundraising credit.

Check In – Volunteer Check-in is at the registration area at the event site.

Parking – Volunteer and participant parking is at the event site.

Fundraising Credit - $125

Duties – Provide bib and shirt to race participants.  Handle new registrations.

• Distribute Race Bibs
  • Organized by alphabet in boxes (Last Name, First Name)
  • Runners can pick up for other runners

• Can’t Find Bib in Box
  • The Bibs can stick together so double check.
  • Check under their first name as well as their last name. Could have been switched.
  • Ask if they registered under a different name.
  • Ask if someone else may have picked it up for them.
  • If you still can’t locate their bid, direct them to “Same Day Registration” for resolution.

• Distribute Shirts
  • Runners that pre-registered are guaranteed a shirt.
  • Runners that registered on race day will be first come, first serve, but we expect to have enough shirts.
  • Runners will not be able to exchange sizes until after the race @ shirt table.

Runner Information

• Do not bend or remove the chip from the back of the bib.
• Bibs need to be worn on the front.
• Bibs can be worn under outer clothing (e.g. jacket).
• Bibs can’t be read if rolled up and under high density items such as running belts.
• Bibs are disposable and do not need to be returned

Water/Food

Date/Time:  Saturday June 10 8 AM - 1 pm

Fundraising Credit - $150

Duties

• Give out water on the race course
• Assist with serving BBQ lunch
